Building Insurance Association Inc. (BIA Inc.) provides a competitive alternative Workers' Compensation market for residential builders, remodelers, subcontractors and suppliers located in Virginia. p>

BIA was created to provide a stable program for the long-term as a benefit to the industry, which, at times, has seen availability of Workers' Compensation insurance become difficult to obtain.

Our program was developed with input from the homebuilder community. It has been modeled after 17 other successful residential builder self-insured funds throughout the country.

By doing business with us, you will be supporting the industry. BIA pays royalties tot he state association as well as many local associations, providing additional funds to support the building industry.

Our product is available to members of the Home Builders Association of Virginia through a local home builders association. In most cases, membership dues are more than offset by the cost savings realized in our program.
